His fingers are careful as he buttons the cardigan, adjusting it so it sits just right. "I think he'd like to see this,” he adds softly. Ilya has no idea, it’s only when their daughter is diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that Shane realises he has no choice but the break the silence between them.
