Pointing at the sign that was posted literally above Rozanov’s head, Shane’s ire at the Angel-kin’s lack of respect for the rules grows when Rozanov doesn’t even look up.
The flint strikes on the lighter again, to no avail.
“Devil-kin who likes rules. Wow.” Rozanov’s voice is deep, much deeper than Shane was expecting, and it sends a shiver down his spine that knocks his tail loose from his waist. It lashes behind him, broadcasting his irritation for anyone to see, and Shane’s cheeks flush with embarrassment.

I had to rescue you.” — After months of bugging, Shane finally gave in and let Jackie set him up on a blind date. He’s very quickly reminded why he always says no. It’s going to take him a while to trust Jackie again after this. I’m going to call the flight attendant over and get this sorted out right now!” Flustered and cornered, Shane injects his Captain Voice into the conversation. “Ma’am, I understand that you’re upset, but I paid for this seat and am going to stay here. You’ll have to find someone else willing to change places or just fly with the seat you booked. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you.” She hisses like a goddamn tea kettle, and starts to say, “You are the most selfish man I’ve ever—” when another voice behind her says, “You are blocking my seat. Move.” Shane and the woman turn to assess the new arrival. It turns out that his seat partner is well above six feet tall, ripped as hell, and knows how to deliver an excellent bitch face. He’s also the hottest man that Shane has ever seen in real life, including a chance run-in with Jensen Ackles at a Stars game. Or, still!famous Shane meets non!famous Ilya on a cursed flight from Ottawa to Boston and kind of (totally) falls in love with him at first sight (and first chirp)

He raises his eyebrows, as if waiting for him to respond– Shane has to do a double take to make sure that he’s even talking to him at all. “Me?” Shane points to himself. The blond turns to look at the rest of the bar. “Is no one else here but you. So…” Or Shane meets a handsome bartender after being stood up on a date. Bathroom shenanigans ensue.
