The Hollanov Baseball AU no one asked for but my brain supplied because I'm more of a baseball nerd than a hockey nerd.

Shane Hollander (pitcher) and Ilya Rozanov (catcher) are both drafted straight out of the High School League into the MLB. What bits of their story are different, and what bits are eternal?

This fic is complete and binge safe!

Ilya's eyes snapped. Something hot behind them. "You think you are better than me?"

Shane shook his head. It was like comparing apples and oranges, he wasn't sure how to even measure who was better. "No, and you know that's not what I meant. It's true, I'm more likely to get called up before you, and-"

Ilya propped himself up, nose now inches from Shane's. Shane couldn't help looking at his lips, flushed from running. To his horror, Ilya seemed to notice, and he started grinning.

"I think I will catch you." Ilya said, casually. "I cannot let you play without me. Would be no fun."

    ***
Baseball au. Shane Hollander is a tightly wound pitcher who has been dreaming about the major leagues since he was six. Ilya Rozanov is a cocky shortstop who is infuriatingly good at reading him.
