Shane came through the door with four cases of Pedialyte stacked in his arms. Ilya had asked him to pick up one on the way home. One. "Last time Niko had the flu, he liked the grape one best," Shane said, studying the cases with his brow furrowed. "But that was over a year ago. And his favorite Gatorade flavor right now is lemon-lime, so I figured it'd be safer just to get a variety pack—" Ilya stood beside him and watched him unload the cases. There were times—many times —when Ilya's feeling of endearment toward Shane was so overwhelming, so consuming, that the only way he could describe it was that he wanted to crawl inside his skin and live there. He settled for stepping in close and pressing a kiss to Shane's temple instead. Or, The flu sweeps through the Hollander–Rozanov household. Just as Shane thinks he's the last man standing, he goes down hard.

Angry footsteps thudded up the stairs, stopping just short of the edge of their bed. Shane's presence loomed there, his hands placed on his hips as he stared down his husband. There was something in his hands or rather a piece of clothing — his team issued sweatshirt. It was one of Shane's favorites to wear, it had become somewhat of a comfort item for him to wear. Well, that and the fact that it was one of the only sweatshirts that still fit this far into his pregnancy. "My sweatshirt doesn't fit." Shane folded his arms over his rounded midsection, brow scrunched together in the middle in an angry pout. Or Shane is getting bigger and is convinced Ilya is out to get him.

After nearly two hours there, Ilya can confidently say that his husband— the one Shane Hollander— is drunk. Shane who doesn’t usually ever drink. Shane who usually opts for just a ginger ale. Shane who has had far less drinks than Ilya has, or most of the team for that matter. Shane who is definitely drunk but a very cute drunk. He knows Shane is drunk because at some point he came over to Ilya and hasn’t left his side since. That alone doesn’t tell Ilya that Shane is drunk but what does is that Shane has been super clingy and touchy with him all night. OR Shane gets drunk at the Centaurs Stanley Cup win party and is not shy with the PDA— or the dance moves he apparently possesses.
