The flight attendant just shook her head. “No, sir”, she said slowly, enunciating just a tad too much, like they she was talking to a bunch of idiots, “I’m certain that’s not a misspelling. There are two entirely different names on here, I am afraid” “They can’t have misspelled it that much, that can’t be true!”, Barrett exclaimed, still laughing. But Ilya’s heart dropped as realisation hit. She was right. There were two entirely different names on there. -- OR: after Ilya takes Shane's last name, he forgets to book his own flight and the entire team gets a good look at his passport. Which definitely doesn't read "Ilya Rozanov" - no matter how wrongly you might spell Rozanov.

Ilya pauses, and runs the words through his head, not sure if hes confused because of the alcohol or because the English language is just so fucking stupid. “What the fuck is that? Baby trapping? You get a baby stuck somewhere?” Hayes laughs, loud and bright as Barrett goes to answer, completely cuddled up against Harris, “Nah dude it's like, you're forced into coparenting the kid, the kid is what keeps you guys together, even if you don't like each other. You do it for the kid.” Ilya gives a confused hum, switching from person to person to see if someone can explain. “Hayes continues, “Like when omegas poke holes in the condoms! And just sabotage you guys’ to have a baby.” Ilya ohhhs in understanding, and outright laughs with everyone, “Thats fucking insane!” or Shane Hollander isn’t great at asking for what he wants, lucky for him, Ilya is great at giving him whatever he wants. or Ilya finds out Shane wants to baby-trap him and he is very much on board with the idea.

It makes sense that Ilya’s mind would go there first. Shane said he was outside. Based on past behavior, the hotel balcony is probably the only place Ilya would expect him to be. He feels a little giddy that he gets to shock him for once.
“I’m at a club, actually.” He has to bite back a self-satisfied smile as he speaks, “With the team. Safe.”
It's quiet for a few moments before Ilya deadpans,
“Very funny joke.”

Sylvia leaned toward Shane. “Ask for his number,” she whispered loudly enough that it wasn’t a whisper at all. “They’ll be taking me away in T-minus five minutes. You don’t wanna miss your shot kiddo!”

Not Shane’s worst nightmare. “It would be like a business agreement. She would do it.” “Okay,” Shane said slowly, already hearing the faint crack in his voice. “Sure. A business agreement. But…It’s not like you could just fake it. You’d have to live with her. David, standing nearby, looks down for a moment before composing himself. Shane doesn't stop. "This is the day you came home," he tells her. "The first day of the rest of our lives kiddo." His fingers are careful as he buttons the cardigan, adjusting it so it sits just right. "I think he'd like to see this,” he adds softly. Or, Shane and Ilya sleep together the day they meet in December 2008. Shane ends up pregnant. Ilya has no idea, it’s only when their daughter is diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that Shane realises he has no choice but the break the silence between them.
