When Shane was outed half-an-hour before the NHL Draft, he thought it would be the worst day of his life. For weeks, Shane has made excuses for every stare and every uncomfortable silence. He has swallowed his anger every time one of them treated him like a freak, has spent almost two months twisting himself into something smaller, trying to convince them that he is still the same man who has led this team for years.
In return, for his efforts, they did this.
They went to a store—or, worse, sat together online—and selected every fucked up piece of this costume. They found a women’s jersey with Ilya’s name on the back, bought fucking fishnets in his size, found a cheap set of bunny ears plus tail, grabbed those ridiculous shorts, then brought all of it here so they could laugh when Shane opened the bag.
