They're in their rookie years and trying to juggle this secret desperate lust of theirs while doing this incredibly difficult thing, miles apart, and Ilya is no longer in his familiar milieu, and that shit is HARD, y'all.

    Over the following years, she gets a few opportunities to solidify that friendship, and help both Shane and Ilya feel a little less lonely.
