  3. It had been announced two weeks ago – in preparation for a hockey-romcom the lead actors asked to join training to get some practice and experience on the ice. Everybody had been incredibly tight-lipped about it all, about which actors would show up at the rink. It still wasn’t a surprise and had been expected by them all that Rose Landry would be one of them. After all, why the fuck else would they fly out to Ottawa of all places? It would have made sense if this was a queer movie, then yeah, there’s no place like Ottawa. At least in the hockey world. But they were told as much that it wasn’t, so the only other explanation was Rose wanting to spend some time with Shane. And the rest of them maybe as well.

“Holy shit,” Hazy gasped, “is that Adrian Dela Cruz?”

Being checked against the boards without his gear on couldn’t be much more painful than the stab in his chest at hearing that. Troy whipped around, towards the tunnel. And right there, chatting with Coach Wiebe, was Adrian.

  5. It had been almost two years since Shane had stepped foot in the Bell Centre in Montreal. It felt like an entirely different place through the visiting team entrance. Ilya played with Mishka ears for a moment, then sighed dramatically. “Fine, I will go to Montreal.” “What?” Shane’s heart skipped a beat. “I’m not asking you to.” “You think I’m a bad husband?” Or: Shane plays Montreal for the first time, and it goes about as well as expected. Companion piece to There have been threats and If you're afraid of wolves. March 2016.

  6. Shane Hollander is a hockey legend known as "The Golden Alpha of Canada:" and Captain of the Montreal Voyagers. To the roaring crowds, he’s cocky, dominant, untouchable Alpha they want in a hockey star. Yet, behind every goal, Shane hides a secret that could destroy everything he's built up. He isn’t an Alpha at all. Born Omega in a world where Omegas are sidelined from traditional "Alpha" sports, Shane’s entire career is built on a lie: daily suppressants, fake scent, relentless self- control. The cost is soul-deep exhaustion and the constant fear that a single mistake will cost him not just his trophies, but his identity. Enter Ilya Rozanov, known as “The Dirty Russian” by fans and foes alike, a brutal, magnetic Alpha who’s battled his own demons to make it on the Voyager team. Growing up in the shadow of an abusive father who threw him into sports to "make me fucking rich", Ilya learned to survive by being harder, meaner, and utterly unbreakable. Hockey is his way out, but family obligations and old scars still chain him down.. When a chance encounter lets Ilya see Shane for who he truly is, both men are forced to confront the walls they’ve built, around their histories, their bodies, and their hearts.

It's the Metros' season; Shane knows it. And no matter how many hits he takes, Shane's always been good at getting back on the ice.

Letting Ilya Rozanov touch his bruised body when he comes off the ice doesn't change anything. It can't; Shane knows that, too.

  11. Shane Hollander forgets his marriage. Ilya Rozanov doesn’t forget how to love him. As Shane recovers from a concussion that fractures his memories, the life they built together resurfaces in quieter ways. Through routine, touch, shared space, and an intimacy that refuses to disappear. Love, it turns out, doesn’t always need memory. Sometimes, it just needs time. -------- tl;dr - Hollanov's Amnesia AU in which Shane's last memory is July 2010, a.k.a the first time they hooked up in Toronto after shooting the commercial. Problem is, it is 2022, and they have been married for almost a year, but Shane cannot remember the past 12 years of his life with Ilya.
