The scene that greets him in Shane’s living room is at first much tamer than expected, and then wildly horrifying.
Tails, standing in front of the bookshelf, is cradling a decorative wooden box in one arm. In his other hand, there’s a bottle of something.
It’s a grey squeeze tube with boxy white lettering. There’s something familiar about it. It takes Hayden a second to place, and then he blurts, “Fuck.”
Because it’s lube.
Or: Shane's teammates find his lube. It doesn't go the way Hayden expects.

Shane Hollander is a hockey legend known as "The Golden Alpha of Canada:" and Captain of the Montreal Voyagers. To the roaring crowds, he’s cocky, dominant, untouchable Alpha they want in a hockey star. Yet, behind every goal, Shane hides a secret that could destroy everything he's built up. He isn’t an Alpha at all. Born Omega in a world where Omegas are sidelined from traditional "Alpha" sports, Shane’s entire career is built on a lie: daily suppressants, fake scent, relentless self- control. The cost is soul-deep exhaustion and the constant fear that a single mistake will cost him not just his trophies, but his identity. Enter Ilya Rozanov, known as “The Dirty Russian” by fans and foes alike, a brutal, magnetic Alpha who’s battled his own demons to make it on the Voyager team. Growing up in the shadow of an abusive father who threw him into sports to "make me fucking rich", Ilya learned to survive by being harder, meaner, and utterly unbreakable. Hockey is his way out, but family obligations and old scars still chain him down.. When a chance encounter lets Ilya see Shane for who he truly is, both men are forced to confront the walls they’ve built, around their histories, their bodies, and their hearts.

“What are we talking about?” J.J. asks, and this could really go one of two ways. Either Holly shuts the conversation down pronto because it’s not respectful and he’s a hardass, or J.J. will actually be able to answer Willy’s question.
“Um, just, my girlfriend wants to try anal?” Willy says nervously. “And I was wondering if anyone had advice.”

“Yeah, if I’m gonna be getting up close and personal with Montreal, Comeau is like, last choice,” Marlow agreed. “Bottom two on the roster, for sure.”
Stebbins snorted, adjusting his pads. “And who’s topping it?”
Marlow paused, thick eyebrows furrowing in thought, like this was a legitimate question he should consider seriously. “Hollander,” he declared, with entirely too much confidence.
“I mean…Hollander’s got a nice ass,” Stebbins offered, as if to support Marlow.
“And Hollander’s, like, kinda pretty too,” Carmichael chimed in. Seriously? Carmichael? The fuck? “Pretty like a girl.”

Five times someone asked who Lily was, and one time Shane told the truth.
Or, “A Lesson in the Art of Subtlety,” presented by Shane Hollander, and witnessed by the Montreal Voyageurs.
(Inspired by the scene where Shane gets the dickpick and slams his phone down on the bed, and in ep4 when he aggressively tells Hayden he is going to visit a “friend”)
