Hello! This is my first post, although I am a frequent visitor to this subreddit and have been for years. I have loved hockey all my life, but my real guilty pleasure is staying on top of all the behind the scenes gossip. As you can imagine, Scott Hunter kissing his boyfriend on the ice was a huge day for me!
I recently noticed something with Ilya Rozanov that I don’t think many other people have, and I decided to finally post about it here to see if anyone else shares my opinion. Every hockey fan I’ve talked to in my real life has brushed it off because Rozanov is known as such a womanizer, but I genuinely think he’s in some kind of serious long-term relationship.
Or the year before Ilya transfers to Ottawa, Shane and Ilya learn three things. Creating a charity is a fuck ton of work, coming out isn’t something you do just once, and the whole world seems to think Ilya Rozanov is in a committed relationship.Oh, and Ilya is addicted to Reddit hockey gossip.

It was easy to get swept up in everyday life not realizing what day it was or even what time it was half the time. That was the fun of having not one but two kids, after having been used to just their daughter who was a toddler now able to do for herself most basic tasks. Shane had taken it for granted almost how easy of a toddler Sofia was that he didn't realize what he and Ilya were actually getting into. But they found out quickly that having two made life a lot more interesting. Or it's Shane's birthday and mother's day rolled into one and he's got two babies to celebrate with (well three including Ilya)

“Janie, that’s a ninety-thousand dollar minivan,” Chris says. He puts the car in park; he’s been nervous since they left the house, but he’d never say so.
“You need to relax,” Jane laughs. “They’re just two nice, normal dads, who invited us over so our kids can play hockey.”
“Yeah, just normal, millionaire dads with like, seven Stanley Cups between them–”
Jane cuts him off. “You know how hard it’s been to make friends with some of the hockey parents here. These guys are nice! And the girls get along so well!” She points a finger at her husband’s face and lowers her voice. “Don’t screw this up for her.”

"You can give him a special Mila-only bandaid when we see him later. Okay?" Mila nodded slowly. She swallowed her fruit snacks and looked at Ilya in the mirror. "You have to ‘member to kiss his ouchie, Papa." Ilya reached his hand back between the seats and held it there until her small fingers wrapped around his. "I will kiss Daddy's ouchie." Or, Shane gets injured during practice. It is, to put mildly, a lot for his very attached husband and children to handle.

There are a great many things that Shane has no plans on telling his husband: that when he was twelve he broke a competitor’s hockey stick because he was mad his team didn’t win. That he sometimes thinks that his Mom would have liked to have another kid if Shane wasn’t much of a handful. That he had to pull over to cry in his car on the way back to his apartment that night in Montreal after seeing Ilya dance with another girl in the club.
And, that he can no longer sleep in their bed without Ilya.

As their last day at the Cottage before returning back to their respective cities, they get one full day of questions and answers to catch up on everything they’ve missed.

Shane knew he should have waited to drink any fluid at all given the fact that every thirty or so minutes he felt the sensation to use the bathroom. It didn't even take much movement at all from the baby, she could quite literally hiccup and he would have to race to not pee himself. Or Shane is so pregnant and there's a baby on his bladder.
