At first Shane had been doubtful about how a cowboy related to a Roman soldier, but Ilya had insisted it was based on a movie he’d watched on a plane once. He swore other people would get the reference. “We will, uh, how you say, break the internet?” Ilya had said when he pitched the idea in bed last month. “I don’t think I’ve ever said that,” Shane had replied, unable to resist the urge to be a little shit. It was their favorite type of flirting. “Is expression,” Ilya’d huffed. “I don’t think anyone’s said that in at least a decade.” “Am I not anyone? I just said it. Keep up, Hollander.” For their first Halloween together as a married couple, Ilya convinces Shane to dress up in a couple's costume.

Ilya felt the hit before he processed what was happening. Immediately, all the air left his lungs as he flipped, slamming into the ice, head and shoulder first. The sickening crack in his shoulder should have been concerning, but the way his stomach lurched and his head spun was all he could focus on. Ilya Rozanov was down, and it didn’t seem like he was getting back up.

Shane's shorts got Ilya actin' up by hollzy81
Heated Rivalry (TV), Game Changers Series - Rachel Reid
2025-12-11
A quiet afternoon turns dangerous when Shane wears the shorts he knows will ruin Ilya’s self-control. Shane and Ilya were home, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows across the room. Ilya was sprawled on the plush couch, resting on his back, his eyes glued his phone. The scent of rain-soaked earth drifted in from the open window, mingling with the faint aroma of Shane's cologne, a familiar and comforting presence. Shane emerged from the shower, the steam still clinging to his skin, his hair damp and tousled. He walked downstairs, the soft thud of his bare feet against the wooden floorboards the only sound breaking the silence. He was wearing shorts, but not just any shorts. They were the kind that Ilya knew, the kind that made his breath hitch, the kind that screamed, "Fuck me." They were a faded, soft denim, riding low on his hips, the waistband barely concealing the curve of his ass. Ilya's mouth watered instantly. He couldn't help it. He’d been captivated by Shane since the moment they met, and even after years together, the man still had the power to render him speechless. Shane seemed to notice his husband's reaction, a shy smile playing on his lips. He turned and headed into the kitchen, leaning against the counter, his back to Ilya, offering the perfect view of his ass. Ilya couldn't take it anymore. He rose from the couch in two swift strides, crossing the room and pressing himself against Shane's back. He wrapped his arms around Shane's waist, his hands finding purchase on the soft denim. "These shorts," Ilya murmured, his voice husky, "will be the death of me." He started grinding his half-erect cock against his husband's ass, the friction sending a jolt of pleasure through him. Shane moaned, pushing back against his husband, his body arching slightly. "Wore them just for you," he whispered, his voice thick with desire. "Fuck," Ilya breathed, the word a prayer, a promise. He started squeezing Shane's ass, his fingers kneading the soft flesh. Shane groaned, his body trembling. Ilya trailed kisses along Shane's neck, his lips and teeth finding the sensitive skin just below his ear. Shane closed his eyes, letting his head fall back against his husband's shoulder, and whimpered softly. "Does that feel good?" Ilya asked, his voice a low rumble. Shane moaned and nodded, his breath catching in his throat. Ilya started touching Shane's nipples through his shirt, twitching them between his fingers, teasing them with a gentle touch. Shane moaned out loud, the sound a raw, desperate plea. "Fuck, Ilya... more," he begged, his voice laced with need. Ilya, already on the edge, was completely turned on by everything, the feel of Shane's body against his, the sound of his moans, the way his eyes were glazed with desire. He couldn't help himself. He slapped Shane's ass, the sound echoing in the quiet room. Shane moaned, pressing closer to his husband, his body seeking more. "Again," he pleaded, his voice barely a whisper. Ilya cursed under his breath. "Fuck, Hollander. You’re perfect." And he smacked Shane's ass again, harder this time. Shane whimpered, the sound a mixture of pain and pleasure. "Ilya... fuck..." Shane's cock was leaking furiously, his shorts and boxers soaked in pre-cum, the evidence of his arousal undeniable. He couldn't take it anymore. He ground his ass harder against his husband, his hips moving in a desperate rhythm, and moaned, "Please." Ilya grabbed Shane's hair, pulling his head back, forcing him to meet his gaze. "Words, Hollander. What do you need?" Shane moaned. "I need you to fuck me... on this counter, fuck, Ilya." He started grinding harder, his body writhing with anticipation. "As you wish," Ilya said, his voice a low growl. He reached down, his fingers finding Shane's front. "Spit." Shane obeyed instantly, his eyes locked on Ilya's, and spit on his fingers. "Good boy," Ilya murmured, a possessive edge to his voice. Shane's eyes fluttered at the nickname, his body already trembling with the promise of pleasure. Ilya shoved Shane's shorts and boxers down in one swift movement, revealing his wet, throbbing cock. He started circling his hole with his fingers, his touch slow and deliberate, preparing him. Shane moaned desperately, his body arching. "Please... Ilya..." Ilya smacked his ass again, the sound sharp in the air. "You take what I give you, understand?" "Yes... Fuck... Ilya, whatever you say." Ilya groaned, his own control slipping. He pushed a finger in, slowly, deliberately, stretching Shane's hole. Shane moaned out loud, his body tensing. "This hole is so fucking tight," Ilya whispered, his voice thick with anticipation. "Can't wait to get it all loose." Shane moaned at the words, his hips bucking. Ilya added another finger, scissoring them, his touch becoming more insistent. He moved closer to Shane's lips, hovering over his ear. "Do you want that... want me to ruin your hole and make it mine forever? Ruin you for everyone else?" Shane's eyes rolled back, his head lolling against Ilya's shoulder. Ilya's fingers found his prostate, and he began to stroke it, his touch precise and relentless. Shane moaned, a long, drawn-out sound of pure pleasure. "Yes... fuck... yes, Ilya... ruin me."

You Call and I Come (Running) by Kelethin
Heated Rivalry (TV), Game Changers Series - Rachel Reid
2025-12-11
“Hello?” Ilya prodded. “Are you there? I thought you were supposed to be polite Canadian boy.” A breath of laughter sounded in his ear and Ilya perked up despite himself even if he did beat down his grin with sheer force of will. “Are you drunk? You drank without me and now you miss me. Very sad for you.” “I—" Ilya’s smile dropped in an instant and his feet hit the carpet as he vaulted off the bed. Something was wrong. Hollander sounded wrong. “Hollander, what is wrong?” Ilya demanded and listened hard. Then he heard it. Shaky inhales and even shakier exhales that made his stomach drop to the floor. “I need—" Hollander’s voice broke as he took in a pained breath. He was in pain. Ilya started scrambling for his shoes. “Talk to me, Hollander.” _____________ Shane calls Ilya for help after sustaining a concussion and Ilya comes running.

God, Shane looked good. He fiddled with the straw in his boring ginger ale as the objectively gorgeous redheaded woman beside him spoke animatedly. Ilya could tell he was feigning interest in both her and her topic of choice, despite her stilettos leaving him eye level with one very perky (plastic, perhaps?) set of tits. He huffed the tiniest of laughs to himself as he leant against the bar. That Shane believed he could keep up a facade of heterosexuality without even sparing a glance for that rack was outrageous. Everything about him, from his freckles to how his offensive game to how he moaned was beyond outrageous. A figure moved towards Shane, who looked up, into the other man's eyes, and beamed. A proper smile, a broad one, where white teeth sparkled and eyes shone. Fuck. ~ Ilya gets the wrong idea of an interaction at the gala. Cue jealousy, very publicly crossed wires, and one VERY happy Shane Hollander at the end of the night.

Heated Rivalry (TV), Game Changers Series - Rachel Reid

Ilya Rozanov has a "tiny car accident" (his words). Shane Hollander has a full-scale, system-shutdown panic attack about it. Meanwhile, a horrified Hayden is praying for someone to throw him in a lake and tell him that this is all just a big joke, or maybe for a meteor strike; he is really not picky. J.J., on the other hand, is trying to bleach the image of his sweet captain making out with Ilya fucking Rozanov from his brain.
It's a very normal day for the Montreal Voyageurs.

Something isn’t right. Something isn't right and Svetlana knows it, and she's lost far too many good things by not trusting her instincts. Ilya leaving with a woman in public? That's expected. Ilya leaving with a man in public? Sure, it's happened before, even if the public wasn't actually aware of what they were looking at.
But leaving for a threesome, in public? In a bar where anyone could be taking photos? Don't make her laugh - Ilya would never.
And then it hits her:
Ilya's slight stumble;
The way he only had three drinks over the past two hours, barely enough to get him tipsy;
The way he's not even holding the girl or the guy's hand.
The way he's not even trying to kiss either of them.
The way he keeps pulling slightly against the girl's grip like he can't understand what's happening.
Shit.Ilya's been fucking roofied.
Or, Ilya gets roofied at a club and Svetlana needs to him someone who can care take of him. Luckily, they're in Montreal, where Ilya's illusive Jane lives.
Surely she'll be able to help!

Shane Hollander loves two things: hockey and his infuriatingly clingy husband. When Ilya slams into an unexpected rut on the ice, Shane’s the only one who can get him home before things turn feral. What starts as a very intense, very ill-timed rut turns into late-night guilt, broken pride, and an impossible wish for a family Shane will never be able to carry— until a specialist, an ultrasound, and a tiny heartbeat say otherwise.

When they had ordered a round of cheap tequila, one of them had questioned Shane briefly. “How old are you, Rook?” “Old enough,” Shane had answered truthfully, but it wasn’t his fault that The Short American hadn’t specified on which side of the border. The drinks kept pouring in after that. Scott Hunter convinces Shane Hollander to join the team at a bar the night after the All-Star Skills Competition. “I would hope not,” JJ snorted, nodding as his eyes glanced at Shane’s shirt for a short moment. “Looks a bit big, Hollzy. Trying to put on some muscle and take my spot as Montreal’s enforcer?” Shane frowned, glancing down at the shirt he had thrown on without a second glance. He wasn’t proud of the way he let his alarm run through, keeping him twenty minutes late from the schedule he had planned in his head. It was fine, he reached the airport on time (and was earlier than half of Team Canada). But it had left him frazzled. So frazzled that he hadn’t even stopped to think about the shirt he pulled on. His cheeks burned with stark realisation as he glanced down at the black Bauer shirt he was wearing. It wasn’t his, and JJ clearly knew that too considering it was at least two sizes bigger than the ones Shane usually wore. Because it was Ilya’s. . Or, Shane's habit of stealing clothes from a certain blond Russian and being caught red- handed a few times.

“Fuck it,” He mutters in Russian before just pressing his thumb down onto the phone next to Hollander’s contact. Ilya puts it onto speaker, listening to just up to the first half of the second ring before pressing the big red button, not letting it go on any longer. Fuck. He drops his phone and presses the palms of both of his hands to his eyes, trying to stabilize himself. Ring. His heart practically jumps out of his chest when he hears the sound coming from his phone. He looks down at where it’s sitting on the bed, the screen reads “Jane." Fuck. Out of panic, Ilya declines the call but quickly makes his way to his messages app, finding Hollander’s contact and typing out a quick few messages back to back. Ilya: did not mean to call. Ilya: was accident Ilya: no need for call back Ilya takes a deep breath and sets his phone back down only to be met with an immediate response from Hollander. * OR, 5 times Ilya had a nightmare & called Shane + the 1 time Shane was there to comfort him in person

How to Come Out as Heterosexual: A Guide for Anxious Rookies by pucksandpower
Heated Rivalry (TV), Game Changers Series - Rachel Reid
2025-12-10
Shane and Ilya take their rookie to Kingfisher for some post-game celebration. It’s supposed to be a fun night out — just drinks, darts, and team bonding. Instead, Noah spends the entire evening having an existential crisis that culminates in him nervously showing up at their hotel room at 1 AM because he has something important to tell them. Something he’s been anxious about all night. Something that requires courage to say out loud. He’s straight. (Or the most supportive hockey husbands in the league accidentally become hockey dads to a terminally anxious rookie who thinks “coming out as straight” is a thing he needs to do.) The bus ride back to the hotel feels like a victory lap, even though they’re just crawling through Manhattan traffic at eleven PM on a Saturday night. Ilya’s sprawled across two seats near the back, his legs extending into the aisle because he’s never learned how to sit like a normal person. Shane’s next to him, scrolling through his phone with that little smile he gets when he’s reading congratulatory texts from his family. Three rows up, Noah Blanchard sits alone, staring out the window at the lit-up city like he’s never seen buildings before. “Hey,” Ilya calls out, loud enough that half the bus turns to look. “Baby Blanchard.” Noah’s ears go red — they always do — but he twists around in his seat. “Yeah?” “You come out with us tonight.” It’s not a question. Ilya doesn’t really do questions when he’s decided something. Shane looks up from his phone, eyebrows raised. “We’re going out?” “Of course we go out. We win. We are in New York. We go to Kingfisher.” Ilya says this like it’s the most obvious thing in the world, like they didn’t just play nearly twenty-three minutes each and it isn’t creeping toward midnight. “I’m not twenty-one yet,” Noah says, and his voice does that thing where it cracks a little at the end. He’s twenty, but sometimes he sounds about fifteen. “Is okay,” Ilya waves his hand dismissively. “You are with NHL team. Is fine.” “That’s not how the law works,” Shane says, but he’s already got that look on his face that means he’s going to give in. He’s always been soft when it comes to their teammates, and especially soft when it comes to Noah, who showed up to training camp in September looking like a scared puppy and hasn’t quite shaken the expression. “Scott will let him in,” Ilya insists. “He knows us. He knows Noah is good kid.” “Scott’s probably pretty pissed at us right now,” Shane points out. “We just beat them four to two.” Ilya grins, all teeth. “Exactly. So we go rub it in his face.” Shane sighs, but he’s smiling. He turns in his seat to look back at Noah properly. “You want to come? You don’t have to. No pressure.” Noah looks between them, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallows. “I mean ... yeah. Yeah, okay. If you think it’s cool.” “Is very cool,” Ilya says firmly. “You are Centaur now. You come out with Centaurs.” “Most of the team’s probably just gonna crash,” Shane says, glancing around the bus. Half the guys look like they’re already asleep, slumped against windows or each other. “But we usually hit up Kingfisher when we’re in New York. It’s ... well, you’ll see.” Noah nods, even though he looks a little uncertain. He’s got that wide-eyed expression he wears a lot, like the world is happening to him faster than he can process it. “Text your parents or whatever,” Shane adds. “Let them know you’ll be out a bit longer.” “Shane,” Ilya says, his voice dripping with amusement. “He is not baby.” “He’s our rookie,” Shane counters. “And his mom follows me on Instagram. I’m not dealing with an angry mom in my DMs.” Ilya laughs at that, loud and bright, the kind of laugh that makes other people want to laugh too. “Okay, okay. Yes, Noah, text your mama. Tell her your hockey dads are taking good care of you.” “Please don’t call yourselves that,” Noah mutters, but he’s pulling out his phone, so he’s clearly going to do it anyway. The bus pulls up to their hotel, and there’s the usual chaos of everyone gathering their stuff and stumbling out into the cold night air. Shane grabs both his and Ilya’s bags because Ilya’s already halfway to the sidewalk, turning back to yell at Noah to hurry up. “We meet in lobby in twenty minutes,” Ilya announces. “You change, we change, then we go.” “Do I need to dress nice?” Noah asks, hovering near the bus doors. Shane considers this. “It’s a bar. Just wear ... I don’t know, not your team hoodie?” “Wear something tight,” Ilya suggests with a wicked grin. “Show off that rookie body.” “Ilya,” Shane says, in that warning tone he’s perfected over the years. “What? I am just saying he should look good. We all should look good.” Ilya gestures at himself like he’s exhibit A, which, to be fair, he usually is. They scatter to their rooms — Noah’s somewhere on the fourth floor, while Shane and Ilya have a suite on the seventh because Ilya always upgrades them when they’re on the road. “Is investment in our happiness,” he always says, and Shane stopped arguing about it years ago. Shane showers quickly, because Ilya takes forever and they’re never going to make twenty minutes otherwise. When he comes out, toweling his hair dry, Ilya’s standing in front of the closet in just his briefs, scowling at his options like they’ve personally offended him. “It’s a bar, not a fashion show,” Shane says.
