"If this is it," Shane whispered, so quietly only Ilya could hear, "you won't face a single second of it alone."
Ilya closed his eyes. His fingers tightened around Shane's hand with everything he had left.
He saw the fear in Ilya’s eyes.
Then he saw nothing.
*******
It was supposed to be an ordinary flight. Instead, it becomes the worst day of their lives.
They were never meant to be on the same plane. Then the unthinkable happens. It goes down.
As terrified passengers flee the wreckage, Shane refuses to abandon the man he loves, even as rescuers and survivors alike order him to get out. Trapped beneath twisted metal, Ilya is running out of time. And while they wait for help, the secret they've spent years protecting slips into the hands of strangers with phones.
In an instant, the whole world is watching. Hockey can burn. The headlines can wait.
Shane Hollander has exactly one job: keep Ilya alive.
Because if they survive this, he'll have to protect more than Ilya's life. He'll have to protect everything they've built together against impossible odds.

Ilya; My Ilyusha by Anonymous

He could still feel it now, the warm-wet slide of Ilya's tongue as he licked a stripe from the sensitive skin on Shane's palm to the tip of his middle finger, shocking a laugh out of him. The head-rush of feeling how quickly his cock hardened against the warmth of Ilya's bare ass, Ilya's full weight bearing down on Shane's hips. The heat of the blush traveling from his cheeks all the way down to his chest in response to the smoulder in Ilya's eyes.
Мой любимый, this is excuse to put sunscreen on my naked body, yes?
Shane gnawed at the memories like a dog with a bone, allowed himself to get lost in them until he felt physically sick, at which point he realized that he needed to switch lanes to avoid hitting the fawn, still unmoving, still unblinking.

“Rozy—shit,” he manages, voice strangled, want bubbling molten and inescapable in his gut, hips trembling with the force of not rudely bucking up into Rozanov’s warm, far too talented mouth. Because I just wanted you to fuck me, he thinks after he’ s finished making Shane unravel with soft, unforgiving motions, as Rozanov—as Ilya—laves his tongue hungrily over the mess dripping down the planes of his abdomen, blinking overwhelmed tears away from the diminuendo of pleasure. But then I became greedy. And now all I want is for you to love me. Or: despite the initial fear, the world doesn't end when Shane Hollander realizes he loves Ilya Rozanov. Now, he just has to convince Ilya of that same truth. An adjusted timeline. A collection of moments. A story about completing someone, despite the odds.

Then the sound comes. It isn’t like the other creaks. It’s sharper. Deeper. Wrong. Shane feels it before he understands it, a sudden vibration beneath his feet, a jolt straight through his bones. He looks up, mouth already forming Ilya’s name. The ice fractures under Ilya in a split second. There’s a crack like a gunshot, the surface splintering outward, and then Ilya is gone. Swallowed by black water that surges violently up through the hole. “Ilya!” Shane’s skates scrape uselessly as he tries to stop, heart slamming so hard it knocks the air from his lungs. He drops to his knees a few meters back, terrified to get closer, terrified not to. Steam curls up from the water like breath in the freezing air. Time breaks. One second. Two. Three. Nothing. - Shane and Ilya enjoy their Christmas break at Shane's cottage, until Ilya falls through the ice as they skate on the lake.
