Ilya Rozanov knew his English wasn't the best. As one of his ways to improve it, he started reading stories that fans wrote about hockey players on the internet. After meeting Shane Hollander, he decided to try writing some of these stories. To improve his English, of course. Or, Rozanov journaled all of his interactions with Hollander in English and posted them as fanfics online.
