Shane Hollander has spent his whole career being told he and Ilya Rozanov hate each other. He's inclined to agree, right up until a hit in his rookie season puts him in a hospital bed and eleven years of a life he never had unspool behind his eyes: secret hotel rooms, a wedding, kids, a fight that nearly ended them, a crash that brought them back. He wakes up to a body that aches for a husband who was never real, and a rival standing at the end of his bed who has no idea what he means to him.
Or: Shane wakes up from a coma grieving a marriage that never happened, and decides the only way through it is to go build the real thing from scratch.- Language:

“I don’t think I would ever have kids if it wasn’t with you" (Summer 2025) by LetThemReadFics
Game Changers Series - Rachel Reid
2025-12-14
!!! CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR HEATED RIVALRY & THE LONG GAME !!! Shane and Ilya spend Summer 2025 like they do every summer - at the cottage - but this summer is special, because it'll be the last one just the 2 of them. Next year, they'll have 2 little ones to share their lives with. But, as Shane points out, there's so much to do before then: like pick their names! Full of teasing, kissing, and being stupidly in love, because that's what they deserve!

“Daddy?” a soft voice whispered and a hand touched him a few times. Shane opened his eyes, and in front of him there was his sweet daughter, in her unicorns pyjamas and a messy ponytail, holding her teddy bear. “I can’t sleep”. “Come here, love” Shane murmured, patting the bed. Irina nodded and climbed the bed, settling in between Shane and Ilya, who was still sleeping. She gave Shane her back and curled up behind her papa, holding with one hand Mr. Bear and with the other Ilya’s shoulder. Shane made sure that everyone was well covered by the blanket, then let his arm wrap his daughter, his husband and, of course, Mr. Bear.
