Hollander’s face flashed in his mind, once again, as he took that glance backward that cost him the game, and almost his life. Before Marlowe had reached him, Hollander’s expression was pure triumph, a beaming smile directed towards Ilya that made his heart clench. This injury would likely prevent Hollander from playing the rest of the season, which would be devastating for both of them. Ilya could only hope that the rest of this season was all that Hollander would lose. Some outcomes could be much worse. Ilya couldn’t live in a world without Hollander. He wouldn’t. Ilya couldn’t even entertain that thought without getting nauseous. He took deep breaths in and out, leaning his head on the wall behind him. Slowly, his breathing began to even out as he drifted into a fitful sleep. OR Rozanov has glimpses of different lives with Hollander and realizes he would love Shane again and again.

A rewrite of episode four and what happens afterward. “Well yeah,” Shane said, his voice took the slightly bratty tone that Rozanov loves. “You keep your house cold as shit.” This made Rozanov burst out laughing. He went towards his dresser to pull out a hoodie. He pauses as he sees Shane’s perfectly folded outfit settle neatly on the wood. He lets a small smile cross his lips within the privacy his back has provided from Shane. Like in every piece of clothing Rozanov has ever had the luxury of peeling off of Shane’s body a neat S.H. was written on the label of Shane’s jacket. He was about to toss an old CCM sweatshirt to Shane when a different one caught his eye. The team had got them this year, they were black with the Boston Bear’s logo in yellow. The hoodie was branded with Rozanov’s number and last name on it. The thought of Hollander, Montreal’s and the NHL’s golden boy, wearing his name did something to him. I guess he didn’t care that Shane was a hockey god, the only thing he cared about was the fact that in a few moments he was going to see Shane wearing his last name. Something he couldn’t let himself dream of.

Ilya Rozanov was a showy alpha, the type that glowed under the spotlight, specially in the rink. He spoke very outwardly, even if his english left him hanging sometimes, and got along well with the other alphas in his team. The picture was quite different with his opponents. They didn’t like one bit the shenanigans he got up to in the middle of games, some considering him one of the biggest assholes in the MLH, specially because he didn’t cower from using his liquor scent to overwhelm his opponents. Now, active hockey players that were omegas? Counting with Shane there were a total of one. Reading about the history of the MLH in the 90s he was aware there were at least three fully out omegas that partook in official games in the last 20 years, but none of them were first line players and quietly drifted into obscurity after the end of their short-lived careers. That made Hollander’s position specially tricky, since he wasn’t a fully out omega. or Shane Hollander has a big secret, being an omega in an alpha dominated field. And his attraction to Ilya Rozanov could put his whole career in jeopardy.
