“I know you said you couldn’t do this week,” a woman was yelling from outside, “but I have to take an extra shift, and Magda is away. Ilya! Are you th-” She paused upon finally stepping inside, a colourful backpack hanging over her shoulder and a bag in her hand. “Oh.” Shane could hear Rozanov scrambling behind him, probably wiping his stomach off and pulling his clothes out of their rumpled sex state, before he stepped into view of the door. The small child who had been staring at Shane with her gigantic blue eyes turned at the movement, and her face split into a wide grin. “Papa!” Picking up right after the tuna melt scene Shane is confronted with Ilya Rozanov's secret child, a move that everyone except for the child is embarrassed and awkward about.

Shane Hollander has been keeping his sexuality hidden from the world his entire life. He has even successfully hidden it from himself for a very long time to a point where he still isn’t convinced that he is gay. Just curious. (it might just be a phase) In order to figure out for sure, he has been convinced to go to a very private and safe queer sexclub, where he can explore without fear of getting outed.
There is only one problem. The owner of the club is a super-hot, Russian man that won’t stop flirting with Shane, shattering Shane’s idea of him liking men just being a phase.- Part 6 of

Shane could deny it – he could try to pretend the man in the audio whimpering for more isn’t him, that it’s a scam, that it was fake or edited. He could get lawyers involved, or take it to the press before anything leaks and control the narrative himself. But he doesn’t know how much more the blackmailer has, and he can’t risk Ilya getting outed or deported or – well, he can’t risk Ilya.

“Why did you want me to meet you here today?” Shane asked. When he’d heard the request, he’d had the same thought as Jared. Was he trying to rub it in? One last chance to retaliate for a long ago rejection?
Shane had almost made it to Rozanov’s room that night in the hotel in Toronto. But when the elevator doors opened, Shane’s feet had stayed glued to the ground.
He’d been so afraid of ruining everything, only to have it ruined for him barely a year later.
Shane does not hook up with Ilya in Toronto. Six years later, his hockey career is long over and he has found a new calling that puts his media training, and his pretty face, to good use.
Consider this a remix of sorts.

There were only a few Omegas within the NHL. Even with all of the league’s efforts to become more inclusive, it was still very bigoted. The statistics of the Omega players did not lend itself favorably either. The majority never made it longer than five years and none had ever been centers. More importantly, an Omega had never played for the Montreal Voyageurs. His career was over before it even started. Or What if Shane Hollander presented as an Omega the same night as being drafted?

This isn't him. He's hidden his heart under buttoned-up shirts and professionalism for the last four years, every step a calculated risk. He can't exactly waltz over to the hospital wing and proclaim he's Ilya’s - what? His partner/boyfriend/whatever the hell they were? It's a conflict of interest to the absolute highest degree. He'd likely be dismissed from the team, without pay, or worse. And Ilya. ——— or PR manager shane hollander is in love with nhl superstar ilya rozanov, after an accident on the ice, someone says 'i love you' and nobody is entirely sure if it even counts
