Box office manager Gabriella Marchaud returns from vacation to find her work best friend Ilya Rozanov spiraling into a playoff-induced depression.
To pull him back from the brink, she devises a ridiculous plan: lure him back to Ottawa for a night of glitter, drunken chaos, and the transformative power of Eurovision.
But she can't do it alone. She needs a team of hockey players willing to learn the sacred art of Europe's greatest cultural event—through 67 pages of history, two semi finals of training, and the kind of ridiculous joy that might just save Ilya from himself.
Or
Gabriella recruits the Centaurs into watching Eurovision so she can save Ilya from playoff depression.

Happy Birthday, Ilya! by Anonymous

The Centaurs think they’ve planned the perfect surprise for Ilya’s birthday. Instead, they’re the ones caught off guard when they discover Shane at their captain’s house. Between party prep, team antics, and one very suspicious “Jane”, Shane ends up hanging out with the team. - “They must really love each other,” Wyatt said. “What else?” Bood prompted Shane. “You hockey boys are a bunch of gossips.” Yuna laughed and drank from her wine. She checked on Shane, but he didn’t seem to mind the questions. “Don’t you want to know too, Yuna?” Bood asked. “Maybe. But she’s probably very private,” Yuna replied.

Shane knows this, he does, but that doesn't stop the dread he feels awaiting her turn to take the ice for her chance at her first Olympic bid. Ilya is trying to keep his spirits up, but Lena not telling him anything about her new program sure isn't helping his anxiety. a.k.a: the one where hollanov's daughter does a free skate program to Diamonds by Rihanna and tries to surprise them with it.
