    Ilya knows this room. He’s woken up here before, more mornings than he could count. He is here again, which means he failed. Again.

    He begins to write. The memories are sharp in his mind now, but soon they'll start to smear and dissolve across his consciousness, leaving only faint impressions that will disappear altogether in a day, two at most. This note, printed on cheap hotel stationery, is the only thing that stands between him and oblivion. 


    1. You will meet Shane Hollander today. Don't be an asshole.
    2. June 2009, Draft Day -  go to the hotel gym at 11pm. Use the bike. Bring water.
    3. July 2010 - CCM photo shoot. Make sure Hollander is also there.

    Ilya plans to enjoy the admiration, while Shane is about to learn what it's like to be respected, but not loved. They both also find they're enjoying their predicament more than they should - and they've switched more than just appearances. Tastes and language skills remain, as do echoes of other memories.

    Shane's about to learn there's more to the dickish Russian than an attitude and talent, and Ilya's about to learn that being the golden boy isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Shit. --- OR: Ilya leaves the club alone but gets a call from Shane in crisis. Shane sleeps with Rose after seeing Ilya at the club and realizes he might be gay. Even though they're not on speaking terms, the only one he has to talk to about it is Ilya.
