Unknown Number:
Please you have to take her back, I can't sleep with her creepy humanlike eyes staring at me.

She looks like one of the puppets from The Labyrinth. I had night terrors about that movie as a kid.
Harris:
Who is this? Why do you have Anya?
Unknown Number:
Seriously name your price, lie to Ilya and tell him you found her old family and take her away please🙏
Harris:
I don't know who you are but I'm calling Rozanov and maybe the police. This is creepy. Who are you???
Unknown Number:
This is Jane. Ilya's partner. Please. I'm desperate. I wouldn’t have reached out otherwise.
Harris

This was what tended to scare Shane the most, when Ilya was unwell: the gradual loss of him, despite being physically there. He would go quiet, blank, slow to speak and slow to respond, nothing like the pulse of intense energy and liveliness that sparked in him at his baseline. Shane missed him, when he was away in that place. It was not a place Ilya could always describe, and it was not somewhere Shane could rescue him from, or even join him in for company. So Shane waited, every time, for him to come back. He always came back. That was the only relief in it.

“Can dogs even get colds from humans?” Bood asks. A couple of players murmur but nobody seems to have an answer. “Maybe she’s pregnant,” Troy unhelpfully supplies and Shane physically braces himself for his husband’s reaction. “Pregnant?” is Ilya’s incredulous reply from across the ice. At this point, they’re not practicing at all anymore; everyone is much more interested in hearing out Anya’s supposed illness and even Coach Wiebe has joined the huddle. Shane and Ilya's dog, Anya, is sick. The Centaurs hold an intervention.
