The girl pulled away from Ilya just for a moment, down his neck while whispering something Shane didn't want to know. And Ilya. Ilya was happy. He raised one of his hands to tuck a strand of hair behind the girl's ear as he laughed at something she said. He kissed her cheek one more time before she strutted away to her friends. Then, Ilya looked up. Straight at him. Or After two months of no contact, Ilya and Shane reunite. In a club.

“You know,” Ilya adds, like he’s continuing a casual thought, “Hotel was good idea. It’s warm, no ice, no… audience.” Shane’s grip tightens on the strap of his bag, but he still doesn’t respond. He keeps skating, eyes fixed ahead, pretending the words don’t land even as heat crawls back up his neck. “But no,” he continues, clearly enjoying himself. “You choose rink, very bold.” “Fuck off,” Shane exhales through his nose. Ilya keeps talking as they slow near the boards, skating lazy circles around Shane like he has nowhere else to be. “Next time,” he says mildly, like he’s already planned it, “We use a hotel. I promise, much less… scandal.” _____ Shane and Ilya get freaky on the ice, LIKE LITERALLY on the ice during the All Star Game week.

Drastic Measures (go back to standing in the corner, Hollander) by JulianHartley
Heated Rivalry (TV), Game Changers Series - Rachel Reid
2026-01-07
“What are you doing?” Hollander asks, even though he is well aware that he has caused an avalanche. “I'm going to show you what can happen to boys like you when they forget their underwear.” OR: Shane comes home drunk and says he was at a bar with a man who repeatedly hit on him. Ilya resorts to drastic measures. It is a late December evening. It is already completely dark outside, and the snow-covered road leading to the cottage seems to disappear into the darkness, unlit by any of the motion- activated lamps. The temperature outside has dropped by a good dozen degrees compared to what it felt like in the morning, and Ilya feel that his home is not any warmer. He is terribly cold, his numb hands are shaking uncontrollably, and his legs, wrapped in a blanket, seem to be shaking as he nervously looks out the window. For a Russian, he does not tolerate the Canadian winter very well and has already fallen ill in the second week, which has ruled him out of training and matches until he finishes his course of antibiotics. This is hopeless, because he feels fine, is not contagious, has not had a fever for several days, and yet he will have to stay at home for another four days. He tried to calm his nerves in various ways: he prepared lunch boxes for Shane, watched a replay of the match, played a silly game about hockey, on the cover of which he once accidentally found himself, tried to finish reading a book, but it didn't help. He was still distracted and, above all, terrified. It's almost midnight, Shane finished playing the home game, which he lost about four hours ago, but he still hasn't come back. Ilya had sent several threatening text messages and even more messages saying, where the fuck are you, hollander, finally ending with a desperate sweetheart, im worried, and had called dozens of times, but Shane still wasn't answering. Ilya wasn't the type of boyfriend to panic and call as soon as his beloved was late. He probably wouldn't have considered the delay to be anything terrible, had it not been for the events of the past: that nightmarish night when he found his mother, that one terrible match during which he stood paralysed on the ice, watching as the semi-conscious Hollander was carried away on a stretcher. In addition, Shane was never the party type who would go to a bar after a match, whether they won or lost. He only celebrated big wins, usually for an hour or two, sipping ginger ale, already planning his escape to his quiet home in the back of his mind. Ilya tries to rationalise that there was no accident during the match and that the situation with Irina Rozanov is not something that could happen again with Shane. At least, that is what he hopes. Despite everything, the fear remains, and that voice is louder than the rational part of Rozanov's mind. He could have had a car accident on the ice- and snow-covered streets. The man is about to call Yuna, or even the police, when the door opens and a flushed, laughing Shane bursts through the door. His cheeks are red from the cold, and his eyes are shining with joy, and although the weight lifts from Ilya's heart, he immediately notices that Shane is drunk as a skunk. "Ilyaaaa!" he shouts from the doorway, throwing himself into his arms. "I missed you!" The man returns the hug and all the fervent kisses that Shane begins to shower him with after a moment, but he knows that in the situation they find themselves in, he has to talk to the man. "You've been drinking." Ilya states rather than asks, looking at his red cheeks and glassy eyes, his distracted smile and exposed neck. "It's fucking December, where's your scarf?" Shane's enthusiasm wanes a little when he sees Ilya's reaction. "Are you angry?" he asks, lowering his head like a scolded child. "I'm angry that you didn't text me to say you'd be late. I was worried," he says, letting Shane hug him again, while trying to warm his numb hands and shoulders. "I swear, I was only at the bar with Wilson for a moment, I didn't drink much, you didn't need to worry," Shane assures him, as if alcohol was the cause of Ilya's concern. And although Rozanov had been more worried than angry until now, the name hit him like a slap in the face. The man had repeatedly tried to flirt with Shane, indiscreetly suggesting a meeting at his place, ignoring Ilya's existence, and once brazenly tried to kiss Shane in Ilya's presence, so, well, the man had a right to feel jealous. "With who, excuse me?" Ilya asks angrily. "With Wilson, you know, the hockey player from..." "I know who Wilson is. Did it ever occur to you for a single fucking second that he was trying to get you drunk in the hope that you would become easy?" Shane is still standing between the hallway and the sofa, his eyes wide open, now bewildered by the man's anger. He can't remember the last time, if ever, Ilya was so jealous and angry during their relationship.

"A game?" said Shane blankly. Ilya waved his arms around as if to communicate through hand gestures. "You know, a sex game. Where we pretend to do something in a sexy way." "You have a... fantasy? Like, you want to act out a scenario?" Shane said hesitantly. Ilya snapped his fingers. "Yes. I have a fantasy." "What's your, um. Fantasy?" Even asking, Shane felt a hot blush rising up his cheeks. Ilya leaned forwards so that his lips were to Shane's ear. "I want you... to be a fan." Shane shuddered at Ilya's breath ghosting across his skin. "A fan?" "Yes, a fan. My biggest fan. And you ask me for an autograph." Or: Shane loses a bet, and Ilya wants Shane to pretend to be his biggest fan. Set Pre-Tuna Melt

Since Shane’s Calvin Klein campaign dropped, it somehow escaped the hockey bubble entirely and spilled into the general public. There are countless TikToks now—not even from hockey fans, just regular people—posting about his husband in tight white briefs that leave very little to the imagination. Every sports show seems obligated to mention Shane Hollander’s Calvin Klein campaign. It’s inescapable in a way neither of them had expected. At first, Ilya thought it was fun. He was glad the world finally saw his husband as the sexy, talented man he’d always known him to be. He liked interacting with fan posts and edits, even sending them to Shane just to watch the way his face would immediately redden. But now, the public reaction is a little… much. or; Shane’s Calvin Klein campaign goes viral, not only in the hockey sphere, but all over the internet. Ilya tries (and fails) to not show his jealousy.

Game Changers Series - Rachel Reid, Heated Rivalry (TV)

“I need to talk to you.” Ilya pretends to peer around, exaggerated, chin jutting, then points at himself. “Me?" “Who the fuck else, Ilya?” Shane hisses Ilya’s name, sees his pupils dilate. “Go to the bathroom. I’ll meet you there in five.” Ilya looks dazed, then shakes his hair out of his face and rights himself, reaches for another shot. “You do not tell me what to do, Hollander.” Shane is going to kill him. Or, Shane and Ilya, at the club, post-game. Ilya has let Boston’s victory get to his head and Shane brings him back down to earth.

Seeing Shane Hollander in the crowd at an NHL game was cool. Seeing him in the crowd at a Boston Bears game in Boston was bizarre. But seeing Shane Hollander in the stands wearing an Ilya Rozanov Jersey, the bold number 81 plastered across his broad back? That, was ludicrous. A few of the American guys on the team had decided to start a Fantasy Football league that fall, and Shane had joined wanting to be an involved and fun captain. He barely knew anything about American football, and he had finished dead last as of last Monday. So now, this was his punishment.

Shane Hollander is gay and at this point the whole world knows this – his husband most of all. This fact was confirmed millenia ago… and yet, the mere mention of that woman causes indescribable jealousy to flare up inside Ilya Rozanov. It literally has nothing to do with Rose Landry, she is a great friend to Shane and, at this point, she is a great friend to him as well. He loves her as much as Shane loves her. Why then is the green-eyed monster ever present when they joke about their past relationship? Perhaps he needs to discuss his jealousy issues and possessiveness with his therapist… or he could simply remind his husband who he belongs to. Ilya prefers the latter, especially when he has things to prove wrong.

Still, he’s felt like absolute shit for weeks, and the idea of sitting in his hotel room, where he would probably masturbate, cry, and have another night of fitful sleep, did not make him feel any better. Getting to be skin to skin with Ilya Rozanov did. And surely Rozanov wouldn’t be demanding Shane make a nest in his damn bed if he didn’t fully intend on actually kissing him in it and keeping him there until morning, right? Maybe that would be enough to pick Shane up out of this drop, keep it from happening again. OR After not sending the "we didn't kiss" text, Shane's omega hormones go into distress mode. Despite trying to hide his symptoms and play through the misery, when Ilya Rozanov finds out what's going on, the alpha Shane's body wants most is determined to fix it.

“You are early—” Ilya stops dead in his tracks. Shane is standing there in the hall, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He’s wearing Ilya’s Centaurs jersey. Not much else. “Solnyshko,” Ilya says hoarsely. “What are you doing?” Shane pushes off the wall and comes to greet Ilya with a long, filthy kiss, wrapping his arms around Ilya’s neck. Ilya’s hands seek his waist in return. Shane’s voice is low against Ilya’s mouth. “Reminding you,” he murmurs, “of who the fuck you are.” It was a tough loss in Boston. Shane knows how to make Ilya feel better.

“Shane Hollander,” Ilya gasped, faux-aghast. “You are wet. Wet like pussy.” Shane flushed and tried to squirm out of Rozanov’s grasp, to no avail. “S’just sweat,” he murmured. “It’s just fucking… hot in here.” Ilya’s strong grip tightened, vice-like, around Shane’s hip. His grin curled into something cruel, something bright and sparkling. “Is not hot. You are bad liar. Take it off.”

Shane Hollander loves two things: hockey and his infuriatingly clingy husband. When Ilya slams into an unexpected rut on the ice, Shane’s the only one who can get him home before things turn feral. What starts as a very intense, very ill-timed rut turns into late-night guilt, broken pride, and an impossible wish for a family Shane will never be able to carry— until a specialist, an ultrasound, and a tiny heartbeat say otherwise.
