After Ilya and Shane are outed, Marleau books himself on to the same queer studies course that the Raiders management forced Ilya to attend when he was cancelled for being a homophobe.

It turns out several other Raiders players thought Marleau had the right idea about that. Now around half of the Raiders roster are all sat together in the little classroom. It’s about as chaotic as you would expect. The professor Sandra is forced to add an increasing number of amendments to the ‘Course Rules and Guidelines’ that she never expected to be putting into writing.

    -----
Amendment No. 5. - No, there are no additional course credits for “proving you’re an ally by complimenting your bros in the locker room showers."

Amendment No. 6. - Downloading Grindr will also not get you any extra credits. [ Although if you wish to download Grindr for its intended purposes, I would obviously not want to discourage you in this. ]

Amendment No. 7. - Taking time during games to tell Admirals player Scott Hunter that you think his boyfriend is extremely hot is NOT actually effective allyship within the league. Yes, EVEN if Ilya Rozanov told you it would be.

"Dude," Steddy skated up to him, "if we really have a gay teammate, which, given what you and Pikey have been up to, is likely, they probably don't trust us for shit."
"Yeah," his fellow D, Gagny, piped up, "that's gotta impact play."
"We have got to get our shit together if we want another cup," Steddy continued.
"Gentlemen, gentlemen, don't you worry, I have a plan."
"This is why you are the best, JJ."

what if the metros were a bunch of confused straight dudes trying to support the mysterious gay teammate they suspect exists on their team? what if jean-jacques boiziau was leading the charge? cue hijinks, farm team call-ups, bisexual awakenings, coming out, and bear nights.
