“Oh my god, oh my god. Seriously, this is the best. I can’t believe you’re my neighbour. I’m calling it now, Hollander. This right here is the beginning of a friendship that will go down in history.” Ilya is 10 years old when his family moves from Jacksonville, Florida to small town Ontario. There, he forms an unexpected friendship with Shane, the boy living on the ginseng farm across the street. As they grow up and grow apart, their paths continue to cross at high school hockey games, in tabloid articles, and at one particular intimate Muskoka cottage. OR: A childhood friends to strangers to lovers AU in which Shane Hollander (up and coming indie rock star) and Ilya Rozanov (brooding artist) take nearly fifteen years to figure their shit out.

As he kept gazing at Ilya, he suddenly felt like his pants had gotten weirdly uncomfortable. Like they were suddenly too tight. He glanced down at himself and felt like his heart was about to jump out of his chest when he noticed the bulge on him. What on earth was that? He stared down at himself for a moment, in shock. Then, he decided he would try to push it down; maybe that would help. He startled even more when his own action made him let out an undignified, weird sound. Like a groan, but not really. Why had that felt so good? He just stared at himself for another moment, horrified. He tried it again. He had no idea what he was doing, but it felt wrong. Like, he shouldn’t do something that made him react like that. He glanced up, realising he was still very inappropriately watching the naked priest, and exhaled when he hadn’t been spotted yet. ⋆ ˚｡ ⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚｡ ⋆ OR Shane has led a sheltered life with his family, growing up deeply religious in a small village somewhere in medieval Europe. His quiet world is disturbed when a new priest takes over the town's church. OR Shane is really fucking gay, and he has no idea that it is even an option. ⋆ ˚｡ ⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚｡ ⋆
