Shane's not taken off his helmet yet, so the angle was awkward, but when he glances nervously at the team around them no one seems judging, so he smiles shyly. Ilya's open affection is a lot to get used to. Even after a while with this team, he still fears they'll react badly, but they never do. In fact, their team members seem elated. "You tell him, Captain!" Bood laughs. "We should hang a banner. Danger: Beware of Ilya Rozanov's husband." "Why do you get a victory kiss and we don't, Roz?" When Ilya pulls back, Shane’s head tilts slightly. “But I don’t need them unless I’m reading,” Shane says, his confusion evident in the soft v of his brow and the downturning of his lips. “Shane,” he laughs, with Shane, never at him, and understanding dawns across Shane’s face. “Oh. You’re… into this.” -- OR, Ilya FINALLY fucks Shane with his glasses on.

I know I do it. It’s hard for me after so long. I love you so much, it scares me shitless sometimes.” Shane's working on letting go of the control that's kept him and Ilya safe for the past ten years. The fact that he's Shane Hollander means that he's got a plan. The fact that he's with Ilya Rozanov means that plan involves fucking him stupid.
