After immigrating from Russia with his mama, ten year old Ilya Rozanov finds himself signed up for the ice hockey Squirts program at his local recreation center. Wary of being involved due to his language barrier, Ilya finds an unlikely friend in the boy who skates at a distance from the rest of the team and seemingly refuses to say a word to anyone. *** Irina signs Ilya up for Squirts hockey where he meets a young, unapologetically autistic, Shane Hollander, who he decides will be his very first best friend after moving to Ottawa. *** Also this starts off with them being 10 but turns into a teenage love story
