i know the end

Summary:
Shane was still trying to settle Max, cupping the back of his head, pressing him back against his chest. Body warmth, familiar scent—that was supposed to be enough. That was supposed to be some innate thing, some animalistic pull newborns had toward their parents, hardwired in them from the beginning. Shane had read that. He was pretty sure he had read that. It was probably really bad that his baby didn't have it toward him. Or, Shane is not bonding with his new baby.
