After the events of It Takes a Village, Shane must navigate how to move forward in his career when the team he has grown to love ultimately sets a ceiling on his growth. In another life, he would have won his Stanley Cups with the Metros, been their star center and Captain, and the face of a franchise. Here, he is second line to New York's beloved captain and one of his best friends, Scott Hunter. He knows that to grow, he has to move on, but leaving the family he found in New York might be the hardest challenge he's faced yet.
This is a sequel to It Takes a Village and will not make sense without having read that work first. If you haven't read it yet, please do! For those who have read and enjoyed ITAV, I hope this sequel does it justice <3
