Summary:

This has to be a nightmare. Ilya is convinced it must be. Because there is no way that what he’s watching happen is real life. The SUV ahead of him, the one that is carrying Shane, is swerving out of control, having hit a patch of black ice. The driver in Ilya’s vehicle has already hit the brakes, their SUV skidding to a stop. But the one in front of them is still going. And then Ilya can’t do anything but watch as it suddenly flips. Once, twice, a third time before it drags across the road, still upside down. Finally, it comes to a stop. The Centaurs end up in a car accident on a snowy drive.
