Summary:

Shane recovered at his parents’ house. For once, he didn’t watch any hockey games after the Metros were knocked out of the playoffs. He knew it baffled his mom, but how was he supposed to tell her that the only thing he wanted to do while watching was analyze and pick apart the plays with Ilya fucking Rozanov — the man who had eviscerated his heart? Some days Shane felt so empty he didn’t know if he even cared about hockey anymore. That always sent him spiraling into a panic, because how could he not care about hockey?
