"Time is a flat circle."-Ilya Rozanov at the draft of his and Shane's son. Mac Hollander-Rozanov has been captain of the Canadian Juniors team twice, was the youngest member of the 2026 gold medal Team Canada Men's Hockey Team, and was the first overall draft pick in 2026. To Montreal, which is... Complicated. Really complicated. His bio parents kicked him out for being gay, and he wouldn't trade his family for anything in the world, but being the gay poster boy for the team that shunned his dad for being gay because he has his dad's name? He can't even focus on just playing hockey because everything he does is either good for the Metro's image or good for his supposed rival. Aristotelis Floros has been captain of the American Juniors team twice, was the youngest member of the 2026 silver medal Team USA Men's Hockey Team, and was the second overall draft pick in 2026. To New York, which is a dream come fucking true. He's playing with Scott fucking Hunter, even if he announced 27-28 would be his last season Aris still gets to play with him! So fuck you, Hollander-Rozanov and your handsome fucking face and your goddamned superhero rescuing tendencies. Aris Floros is going to win the Stanley cup first.

A statement released in July, 2022 on the official Centaurs social media channels: "In October of last year, Shane and Ilya became temporary foster parents to one of the students that had participated in the Irina Foundation's hockey camps after he was abandoned by his birth parents for coming out as queer. Since then they have pursued first permanent foster placement and adoption. That adoption was granted and finalized this month. Mac Hollander -Rozanov has been in many pictures that, with his permission, are being re- edited and re-uploaded to remove the emojis that were used to protect his identity in accordance with the government's guidelines." An additional paragraph added to a photo Ilya and Shane shared to their personal Instagrams: "Family looks different for everyone, and our family is no different. Mac is our son, and we are so incredibly proud of him and his achievements. We hope that the hockey community will be as respectful of him as they are of other children of players."
