   • wish fulfillment: the fic
   • yes i am kidnapping shane hollander to boston for very vague reasons
   • yes i want shane hollander in my city get over it
   • we need this!!
   • Boston Bears | Boston Raiders Player Shane Hollander
   • marleau/shane friendship
   • Good Friend Cliff Marlow | Cliff Marleau
   • this is 33k of me wanting to make things nice for everyone
   • so i turn the anxiety and internalized homophobia dial down like 3 whole clicks
   • the metros are the villains in this because im lazy
   • hockey inaccuracies
   • probably
   • i don’t even KNOW so I’m just assuming
   • i stole one of shane’s cups with the metros to try and make the trade more believable
   • which i feel bad about
   • but on the plus side i stole a cup from the metros so
   • this is largely comedy/fluff with like 2 seconds of angst which is a new one for me
   • Anxious Shane Hollander
   • in the sense that this entire plot is really a sort of extended tuna meltdown for him

Shane is traded to Boston during the hookup era, and his attempts to act normal and professional around Rozanov are a little too successful: fans start shipping him with Marleau, instead.
