Summary:

“Holy shit,” Shane says. He straightens and turns around with something cradled in his arms. “What is it?” Shane laughs, his smile bright. “Oh my god, he’s so cute.” “Shane, what did you pick up?” Ilya asks as he finally stands. He starts walking over, and Shane meets him halfway. “Look.” Shane’s voice has gone soft, his tone full of wonder. Ilya looks down to see a scruffy orange kitten curled up in Shane’s arms. He’s dirty and seems exhausted, not even fighting Shane as he looks up at them. OR The cat distribution system finds Shane and Ilya.
