Summary:

In 2008, Hayden Pike is a rookie Metro trying his best to navigate a new team, a new city, and his new place in the spotlight when he takes home a member of the enemy team, Cliff Marlow.

Eight months later, Hayden meets the woman who would become his wife. A year after that meeting, they would be married and expecting twins. Hayden did not have time to dwell on his chance encounter with Marlow, no matter how life-changing the experience had been.
