Summary:

Shane doesn't learn about it – any of it – until the first February he plays for the Centaurs. February 1st, there's an event in the team's calendar, titled “Mandatory Safety Workshop”.

Shane is confused, until he sees that the event was created by Ilya, and then he is flummoxed.

Or Ilya, patron saint of women everywhere, makes sure that his teammates don't forget Valentine's Day.
