Or: It’s the summer of 2021. The hockey world is still reeling from Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov being in a relationship, and the Ottawa Centaurs keep breaking the internet.

Our fic Ilya Rozanov Breaks the Internet was supposed to be just a small fun collection of things happening and the internet reacting, but then it grew and we made a plan for the entire season and playoffs and summer and then we realized we didn’t have a proper beginning, so here is that beginning. I haven’t heard anything concrete, but I wouldn’t discount it. Ottawa has some cap space left and they need depth at center. Roz moving to Ottawa showed they wanted to be close to each other, so the only other teams close to Ottawa for Hollander to move to are Toronto and Buffalo (1/2)

Before we see any pre-season games this is pure speculation. Even if Shane does well with the Cens, you have to look at how the rookies are doing in Buffalo and New Jersey and how Springer will fare in Montreal. Besides Boston made some huge roster changes and the Admirals are looking strong again.

thank you guys for sticking with us as we slowly muddle our way through summer and towards the pre-season! So far we're well on NHL schedule lol

[video, 1min, 30 sec] The Centaurs are on the ice in training jerseys, standing in a half circle around coach Wiebe. From the side, Zane Boodram leans into the frame, grins, and says, “Welcome to training camp!”
Cut to the Centaurs skating around the rink, warming up. In the background a group of players is still stretching, doing the Rocking Frog Stretch.
Cut to a group of players doing a passing exercise. Will LaPointe loses an edge and lands flat on his back. Patrik Holmberg skates over laughing and tries to pull him up, LaPointe pulls him down on the ice instead. While they’re lying in a heap on the ice, Ilya Rozanov skates by and flops down on top of them, yelling “puppy pile!”
Cut to Luca Haas and Troy Barrett shooting on goal, Wyatt Hayes blocking most of the pucks. Eventually they shoot at the same time and Hayes drops his stick and catches one puck in each hand. “Come on!” Barrett yells incredulously; Luca turns to the camera and mouths “superhero.”
Cut to a scrimmage, with Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander facing off against each other. Hollander wins the face off and takes off toward the goal but is blocked by Evan Dykstra. Hollander tries to pass to Holmberg, but Nick Chouinard intercepts the puck and passes it to Barrett. “Yes, kisses for Dyksy and Choui!” Rozanov yells. “F*** off, a******,” Hollander shouts at Rozanov as he skates past him and battles Barret for the puck. Rozanov just grins as he follows him.
Cut to Shane and Ilya side by side on the bench, both lifting their water bottles at the same time, taking a swig, and then wiping their mouths in perfect synchronicity.

omg that’s fine! They’re giving all the prospects a last chance to play, so they split the roster for the games. That’s also why Ilya, Barrett and Bood only played two games. They’re solid as a line so other players get a chance to try out in real games and maybe get a spot on the roster. Same with Dykstra and Chouinard, they’ve been sitting out half the games.

That’s only for the authentic ones which are exactly like what the players are wearing. Regular fan jerseys are like 100-300. Which is still a lot, but the authentic one is insane. No wonder it’s the last one available lol

The Admirals are always in the bottom third when it comes to average penalty minutes, but they’re definitely being careful. Someone on their coaching staff took the preseason hollanov powerplays very seriously
