I’ll keep this short. Luca’s mother isn’t going to the draft because she has two young children to look after and she’s concerned about both the money (the NHL would have covered it) and the effort (I believe Luca would have covered this.)

Sorry I know that’s not very professional. I was wondering if you, as Luca’s long time coach, would be willing to go to the draft with him. I’ve had inquiries from Mrs Wyss about Elias’s family joining him and I think that would be good. I thought I’d also extend the offer to you as Luca’s coach while he’s represented Switzerland and now on the Bears.

Check with Haas first, both on the Wyss request and my own. I would be more than happy to attend the draft on Haas’s behalf (and mourn the loss of my best player).

Hey Philip,

I think due to the recent concerns about Luca Haas and Cédric Caron they should move down our draft picks. I think Anton Vasilev is a good option and doesn’t open us to the concerns and media scrutiny that would happen if we take either of those two so close to the incident.

While this would mean Haas falls to Ottawa, it’s not like Ottawa is good enough to do anything with that. Haas is the best player, but I’m worried with a player who can’t keep his temper under control and how he might react to chirps on the ice. Admitting in a video that broke the hockey community that you have a dead father may not have been the most effective route to take.

Further, our development league has been looking good for years. I don’t think the risk of Haas is worth his skill when we have equally skilled players developing in our leagues. Anton Vasilev further solidifies our defense.

How knows maybe in three years we’ll try to trade for Haas! Also make sure to Vasilev a jersey.

Good morning,

Just touching base so we are all on the same page. If for some reason Haas falls to second we take him. In the eyes of myself and the front office at large taking Haas is the best choice to both strengthen our scoring capabilities and secure our second line. While he doesn’t have as much experience playing bigger players as Caron or Vasilev we do not think he will need any development years.

However, Anton Vasilev and Cédric Caron are both strong options. Our preference is Vasilev as we have previously mentioned, but partially due to Caron’s involvement in the Haas incident.

Our next picks are trickier but we are currently eyeing Artemy Levin and Eric Lee. Levin would start establishing our defensive line, although his development will most likely be a few years.

Let’s hope San Francisco’s loss is our gain.

jamietrickfoot lululuca and the 2020 draft…okay so this entire draft thing is confirming like w deeply long held theory of mine that lululuca8124 is a hockey player of SOME KIND, and like i know this sounds objectively insane but work with me hereso like. first of all lulu clearly knows puck, that’s why it’s such a beloved story, partially because lulu knows how to use hockey to highlight hollanov and their developing relationship i ALSO think the times lulu is largely inactive and active have always matched up well with the hockey season and perhaps the most damning pieces of evidence… it’s luca haas, currently projected first overall pick. apart from the name lululuca (seriously why did we all assume lulu was a girl for years) the SECOND most obvious piece of evidence is that when asked about other draft picks lululuca gave everyone BUT luca haas something positive to say either lululuca is a Grade A luca haas hater, OR luca haas wrote some honestly disgustingly filthy (good thing) fics about ilya rozanov and shane hollander #hollanov#luca haas #god i hope this is true it would be so fucking funny212 notes
