Leaked messages are getting us in trouble

Summary

After a major hack exposing athletes for many (stupid/dumb/terrible) things, Ilya Rozanov's messages are laid bare for the world to see. He promised Shane he would delete anything incriminating, but they didn't define what that meant.
For Ilya, who doesn't care if the world knows Shane Hollander is his friend (after all isn't that what the plan is for), it means he deleted every sext and mushy I-love-you texts between them.
So now the world is figuring out that the sport's biggest rivals are friends...
Set in Jan. 2018, this is a (twitter) reaction fic (take 2) (- no need to read take 1 (first) though).

Or: Shane and Ilya's text get leaked, luckily they deleted anything incriminating and now they're outed as friends.

Notes

When I started writing Nothing There...Right? my mind quickly got distracted by what these boys would text about between the how was your day, and the what are you wearing right now texts. Book canonically they deleted text messages that could identify them, so Ilya would have definitely deleted some of these messages, but I sold the idea to myself by saying Ilya would be more careful about the love and sex aspect of it, not caring as much as being outed as friends, whereas Shane would care more about the Ilya Rozanov aspect of it, since he has come out to the important people, but doesn't want to be known as the pervert who sleeps with his biggest rival :D (Does that mean I'm playing with the idea of doing a reaction fic to Shane's text messages getting leaked and it being nothing but absolute filth...if it wasn't Shane's worst nightmare I would...).

For those of you who don't want to listen to @10PLY (and let's be honest who does??) this is the summary:

First it becomes clear from the text messages that Jane is another player.

Then it becomes clear the player is a Voyageur (from schedule).

And that it is most likely Shane Hollander (mentions of being best and second best player / more points than Rozanov).

Joe then admits to having cross referenced Jane's number in other players phones.

Confirmed Jane = Shane Hollander

Rozanov has most people under nicknames in his phone.

They speculate why Jane / a girl's name.

I need to tell you this story Marlow told me about Johansen.

He heard it from Johansen's teammate Bernard, who said they were playing some drinking game when Johansen told this.

During clubbing Johansen meets this gorgeous girl.

Much prettier than Rose Landry.

Somehow manages to go to her house.

After, he needs to fart. So like a gentleman he goes to her bathroom.

Problem is, the team celebrated with mexican and beer.

So fart is not a fart.

Luckily underwear catches it all. So he chucks his underwear out of the window. Cleans up. Says goodbye.

Crisis averted, he thinks.

But no.

On the way home, he needs to fart again.

He knows better.

Also, there is no underwear to catch it.

So he holds it.

And holds it. All the way to hotel, hotel lobby, elevater.

He gets off on his floor. His room is in sight. He takes four steps and...

It's too late. He can't hold it anymore.

Shits all over himself, over his pants, over his shoes, and

all over the floor.

And that's how I solved poop in the hallway mystery!

Nothing, no amount of alcohol, blackmail, or whatever, would have gotten that story out of me.
