I was very excited to be prompted with a SocMed fic :D Premise from a conversation in a discord server, about how Ilya is definitely riling Shane up with the Weak Backhand comments :D I picked this premise because I was certain it would be “shorter” – and I’m still not sure if I was wrong about this fic’s length or whether the others would have spiralled even more.

I riffed off of the excellent SocMed fic @MLHTracker for styling this fic. It should be readable without a work skin and on eReaders.

Hollander: [laughs] "Yeah, maybe it was a little more on my mind because everyone's been talking about it. But hockey's a lot of instincts, reflexes, converting what you put down in practice, so it's not about proving a point."

[video attached: Pike and Hollander are alone on the ice in pads but without helmets on, heads bent together. Then, Hollander nods, skates off a little with a puck, which he passes to Pike. Pike takes it on the backhand and slams it home.

Hollander nods, takes the next puck, and this time Pike joins him so they're skating towards the other net in sync. Hollander passes to Pike's backhand again, and nods in satisfaction when Pike sends it into the empty net again.

Picking up a new puck, Pike takes Hollander's previous role, sends the pass ahead so it lands on Hollander's backhand, and Hollander roofs it easily.

Pike cheers, and then looks at the camera. "Wait -- Jacks -- are you filming us?" The video cuts off abruptly.
